Meet the Spanish Club!

The Spanish Club of Oakwood College serves as an opportunity for students to practice conversational Spanish and become involved in cultural activities. One of our main activities involves providing the Sabbath School and Divine Worship service at the Spanish Church in Decatur, Alabama. This group of Spanish-speaking Adventists have been meeting in the fellowship hall of the Beltline S.D.A. Church for over two years. We invite you to join us, every third (3rd) Sabbath of the month, to worship and praise the Lord in the Spanish language. Club transportation departs from Blake Center’s parking lot at 8:45 a.m. and return around 3:30 p.m. the same afternoon.

Directions to the Beltline S.D.A. Church:

From Huntsville, take I-565 West to Decatur. When the expressway ends, continue on the same road (Hwy. 31) over the bridge into Decatur. Stay on this road through Decatur until you see Beltline Rd. (same as Hwy. 67). Make a right turn onto Beltline Rd. At the second traffic light, make a right onto Sandlin Rd. and make an immediate entrance into the parking lot of the businesses to your left once you’ve turned onto Sandlin Rd. If you were to have passed the second light, you would notice a service road to your right, running along the same direction as Beltline Rd. The church is on this service road. Exit the business parking lot, making a right turn, onto the service road (it’s the only parking lot exit that does not exit onto Sandlin Rd.). In less than 30 seconds, you will see the Beltline S.D.A. Church parking lot on your right. We look forward to seeing you there!
